Wireless Controllers for Special Needs

Wireless Controllers for Special Needs

For folks with special needs, it can be a challenge to find ways to find ways to communicate with the wider world. This is particularly true for those who struggle with fine motor skills. Operating a tablet like the iPad can seem nearly impossible when the normal interface relies on precise finger touches and swipes. To help address these issues, RJ Cooper has partnered with AirTurn to develop custom wireless iPad controllers like the VO Controller.

The VO Controller is used to help navigate various iPad functions and apps while it is in Voice Over mode. In this video, AirTurn co-founder Hugh Sung interviews RJ Cooper and discusses some of the daily challenges people with special needs face, and how AirTurn technologies can be used to change lives.
