Best Bluetooth Pedal for Live Stage Performance

The AirTurn BT200S Series combines the features and performance of the classic BT200 series. It is created with the look and feel of a traditional stompbox style pedal with optional 9v power supply, making it easy to add to your existing pedalboard. It is built with industrial-grade steel switches, and encased with a nearly indestructible polymer blend that doesn't interfere with the radio signal and still holds up to road wear. Along with the ability to customize computer keyboard and MIDI commands, it’s the perfect app controller for guitarists, bassists, keyboard players, DJ’s, recording engineers, and more!

Custom Hands Free Editing and Recording for DAWs

Easily assign your favorite hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts for hands-free recording and editing control using the free AirTurn Manager app. Arm tracks, start/stop recording and playback, toggle metronome, undo actions, solo/mute tracks, and anything else your computer keyboard can do!

Wireless Foot Controller for DMX Lighting and Bluetooth MIDI

Control DMX lighting fixtures with MIDI commands. Assign a MIDI note or CC to a parameter in your lighting software, and assign the same MIDI note or CC to your pedal in the free AirTurn Manager app. Now with a Bluetooth connection, you can make your lighting changes on the fly.

Universal Foot Switch for Keyboard Shortcuts and Macros

Shortcut keys can be convenient, and offer improvements in speed and performance if you have the extra fingers. Now, you can keep your hands focused on your task, and execute those commands with your foot. Use the AirTurn Manager app to easily program your favorite shortcuts or hotkeys for Word, Excel, PC games, DAWs, and more. It is available for Mac, iOS and Android in the Apple App store or Google Play store. Note that for a PC, you will need to first connect to your phone or tablet to change the settings.

Macros are helpful when you need to repeat a text phrase, place line of code, or execute a series of commands at once. These lines of text, code, or commands can be turned into a macro. Then, the macro can be assigned to a switch. Now, you can use your foot for these repetitive actions!

Work great for MIDI

I’m an intermediate guitar player.

- it works great with Amp apps like AmpliTube and JamUp.

- it also works great with Loopy HD and Quantiloop.

One thing I wish it had was the ability to connect to an expression pedal like the Moog EP-3

Great bluetooth pedal…

Great upgrade to the BT-106. Being a MIDI pedal, the BT200S-6 gives you a lot of flexibility, and with the AirTurn app, you can program it to do almost anything. I feel the only update i would like to see is having an LED on each foot switch. It would be especially useful in “latching” mode.

An improvement

I have to say that, although I had enjoyed using the Ped Pro, The positive feel of the switches on the BT200S gives me greater confidence on carpeted surfaces. Well done AitTurn.

BT200S, the only unit that does what I need.

I have chosen AirTurn BT200S series because it allows me to load not just midi events, but notes into the pedal buttons.

I need the notes, because the MeldaProduction drummer (which sounds awesome and works great BTW) needs note messages for control. BT200 is the only unit that is flexible enough to do what I need. (The build and functionality are great as well.)

I’ve added large aluminum multicolored button covers to facilitate barefoot operation.

I have the 2, 4, and 6 button models, each for its own function.

I don’t usually do reviews, but I wanted to put in a plug for AirTurn.

BT200S-6 early hiccups don’t take away from amazing abilities.

I heard about the upcoming 6 switch BT200S Airturn unit through a leaked image in an email from Airturn. I wa stoked and kept checking the Airturn website for any release date. I emailed customer service in December of 2018 and I got a response that it was coming out in the new year. The official announcement came and I purchased it about 10 minutes before I got an email showing it was being released. When I received it in 2 DAYS (a day earlier than USPS had estimated, the footprint of the unit was smaller than I presumed it would be.

It still was easy to press each button w/o hitting another by mistake

My browser gave me the impression it was a black color when in fact it is a dark shade of blue. A white version may be easier to see for low light gigs. Midi mode 7 in the Airturn Manager iOS app I am using was sketchy and at first would only allow me to select a sequence of 2 midi notes instead of a combination of 2 midi notes in programming the unit. I brought this bug to the attention of customer service and the app developer, and it was fixed within a week or two. It is very programmable and I’m still working out all the possibilities of the unit. There are many, many possibilities.

Midi mode 7 is only for midi and I don’t believe you can have the units’ switches send midi with switches 1-3 and backing track control i.e. start/stop and volume up and down with switches 4-6. The Airturn Manager app enables the units’ firmware to be updated automatically once the Bluetooth unit is found by the app. After having used the BT105 quad for years the extra 2 switches are welcomed, but I still would like to be able to mix midi and backing track control together at the same time. Perhaps a firmware update one day will allow that. Customer support is top notch and they are very communicative for anyone needing help. Grab one or even two of these babies and you’ll see what it’s like to be a iOS or Google control freak!

I've been a fan and a user of AirTurn products for many years, starting with the BT2 and then moving to the PedPro with batteries and then to the PedPro with the built-in rechargeable. They've all been great, although they have all worked best on a solid floor or a board when used on a carpet. But the BT200s6 is the most solidly built footswitch so far from AirTurn and it works wonderfully on carpets as well as on solid floors. It was easy to get it paired with my iPadPro(2018) and it was easy to get it working with ForScore (the main reason I bought it, although I plan on using it with other apps also). I do have one very major complaint about it, though. For some inexplicable reason they decided to use a charging port other than micro-USB even though all their other rechargeable devices use the micro-USB port. Which means that nobody will have any other cable around to charge this device should they lose the charging cable that came with it. Oh yeah, we can pay EXTRA to order other charging cables! Oh joy! As a working professional musician who (once gigs start up again) will be using this footswitch for performances, I can't afford to be out of town and lose the single recharging cable that will work with this device. There are micro-USB charging cables available EVERYWHERE but this proprietary, tip-negative, round plug to USBA cable, is not used by any other devices. So I have put more money into AirTurn's pocket and ordered 2 additional charging cables. Fun.
