AirTurn partners with PianoDisc to bring hands free wireless page-turning capability to Sync-A-Vision music racks

Boulder, CO (June 1, 2009): AirTurn, Inc. announced that it is partnering with PianoDisc, a division of Burgett Inc, to bring AirTurn AT-104 hands free wireless page-turning technology and MusicReader software to Sync-A-Vision product line. Sync-A-Vision is an add-on option for any grand piano, featuring a 19 inch high definition wide-screen monitor that is built directly into the center of a music rack and powered with a Mac Mini computer. Digital scores can be downloaded directly onto the monitor, read and annotated using MusicReader software, and pages turned hands free with a wireless AirTurn AT-104 transmitter connected to a foot pedal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9d_rUm3B1Q

The concept behind the AirTurn AT-104 hands free page-turner is quite simple. By depressing an attached pedal, a signal is sent from the AT-104 to the computer that is equivalent to the Page Up or Page Down functions on the keyboard that programmatically turns a page. No software installation is required for most document and music reader programs to immediately recognize the wireless page turning commands from the AT-104. For example, a user may scan or download any musical score in PDF or Word file and use the AT-104 to turn the pages of that electronic document.

The AirTurn AT-104 offers plug-and-play operation for most computers with PC and MAC operating systems. The user simply plugs the receiver into the USB port of the computer and the transmitter into a variety of commercially available foot pedals.

MusicReader software, used in combination with AirTurn AT-104 and Sync-A-Vision, allows musicians to enjoy all the benefits of paper scores with more versatility and power- its capabilities include non-destructive notation, ability to save many different versions of notated scores, multiple viewing and turning options (half page, two pages, zooming...), recording, metronome, tuning, bookmarking, storing, cataloguing and retrieving thousands of scores instantaneously.
