Poll: Are You Interested in the iPad as a Music Reader?
With the release of the iPad, Apple's new tablet-style computing device, we've been receiving a lot of inquiries about developing a compatible AirTurn page turning pedal. Since the iPad does not feature any USB interfaces compatible with traditional keyboards, this will necessitate a new wireless Bluetooth design for the AirTurn.
We'd love to hear from you regarding your interest level about the iPad as a sheet music reading device by answering the quick poll on the left column of our website.
Here's a video overview of the new MusicReader app for the iPad, which is designed to be a companion to the full version of MusicReader for Mac and PC computers. You can transfer all your MusicReader files wirelessly to the iPad, and can view sheet music in full-page portrait or half-page landscape modes. You can mark up your music with colored ink and highlights, and create simple playlists for multiple works.
While the iPad app itself is free, you will need the full version of MusicReader (version 3.4+) in order to be able to create, convert, and transfer MusicReader files.
